Guidelines for Submitting a Strip
How to send:
1) Send to taschi4ever@yahoo.com
2) Include: pen name (or real, doesn't matter), the name of your strip(s), and your strip(s)
3) Each individual strip must be 500 KB or less; can be JPG, BMP, GIF, PNG (any format that is viewable with a normal picture viewer)
4) Please allow about a week for strip to be posted (it depends on how busy I am ^^)
5) If you would like, you may send in a small picture that will go by your name to show people your art style. If you don't, I'll just use a picture from one of your strips.
Rules for Submission:
Measurements: since many of you probably don't know exactly how big everything should be, here are some general measurements (they don't have to be perfect, just in the general area)
width of boxes: 57 mm
height of boxes: 39 mm
height of title box: 18 mm
space between boxes: 4 mm
Here are a few examples in case you have no idea at all what they look like. The first one is from an Arc the Lad 4-coma manga book and the second is from a Legend of Zelda one.
Rules on content:
1) Please make your strips appropriate for all ages. I understand, however, that a lot of humor is only funny if it's dirty or full of innuendos, so let's make the general rule be PG to PG-13. Light swearing is allowed but nothing excessive. Also, no nudity or extreme violence. Basically, use your head. If you don't think that I'll post something then don't send it in.
2) Shounen/shoujo ai (m/m and f/f): shounen and shoujo ai is allowed but nothing graphic. Gag and fluffy are best - the general rule will be nothing more than kissing simply because this is all ages (this rule will apply for m/f romance as well). Again, as with the last rule, use your head before sending something in.
3) All strips must be Pirates of the Caribbean (obviously), however, you may bring in characters or references from other movies/shows/games if you would like. Just remember that not all people that read your strip will have seen whatever it is that your reference is from, so they might not get it.
